Chris Mann - President

Chris Mann has a diverse professional background which includes extensive experience in the areas of public relations, politics, and real estate development and management. Chris’ areas of expertise include land-use entitlement, water and energy project development as well as public education and community outreach programs. A seasoned communications strategist, Chris’ experience includes public opinion research, message development, reputation management, coalition building, media relations, public information campaigns and crisis management in both the public and private sectors. He has provided counsel to local government agencies, non-profit organizations and Fortune 500 companies.

Before forming Mann Communications in June of 2005, Chris worked as a Senior Account Executive at O’Reilly Public Relations, the largest and best known public relations firm in the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, CA). Prior to that he served as Mayor and a City Councilman in the City of Westlake Village, in Western Los Angeles County, a seat he won by defeating an incumbent who was one of the City’s original founders. Chris has also served on the Board of Directors of the San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency, winning that seat by defeating a 12-year incumbent in a landslide election where he gained over 64% of the vote.

Chris has extensive experience in California politics including providing strategic counsel on city council, State Assembly, State Senate, district attorney and ballot measure races throughout the State. He serves as a trusted and respected advisor to numerous elected officials throughout Southern California and has guided scores of successful political and public affairs campaigns.

In addition, in December of 2006, Chris accepted a partnership in Rotkin Real Estate Group, a small commercial real estate development company based in Newport Beach, California. In October of 2009 Chris became a principal of ADR/Preferred Business Properties, a company with over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate development, brokerage, property management and consulting in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. As a Principal of ADR Properties, Chris has managed both the Las Vegas, NV (ADR Properties Las Vegas) and the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village, CA branch offices. He has overseen development, property management, brokerage, and construction management operations.

Chris holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Political Science from California Lutheran University, in Thousand Oaks, California, and has completed all required coursework for his master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration. He holds real estate licenses in California and Nevada.

 

David Rotkin - Vice President

David Rotkin brings almost two decades of land-use experience to Mann Communications. Having worked as a developer of commercial real estate properties since 1994, he has personally developed approximately 775,000 square feet of retail and office space. Developing properties throughout Southern California, Nevada and Arizona, David is practiced in every aspect of the development process, including land acquisition, entitlement processing, title research, design and construction, financing, management, restructuring and asset sales.

This experience helps Mann Communications provide an unparalleled level of service to clients seeking project approvals. David’s knowledge and proven skill working with government agencies at all levels increases for our clients the likelihood of success, whether seeking zoning changes, variances, conditional use permits, etc. In addition, his development experience is of tremendous value to the entire development process, making Mann Communications an invaluable member of any project team.

David’s experience in the development field is also a benefit to public agency clients, such as cities, counties, economic development agencies and redevelopment agencies, looking to reach out to the development community or to develop public projects on their own.

As V.P. of Mann Communications, David has led communications efforts on large-scale renewable energy projects, retail and industrial development projects, and numerous political campaigns, including a race for U.S. Senate. He has worked extensively with local government agencies, the media and the public in order to achieve positive results for our clients in both the public and private sectors.

 

Daniel Diez - Director of Online Services

Daniel Diez has been at the forefront of the Internet evolution with over 15 years of experience, dating from the beginnings of the online media industry. With a marketing degree and a strong background in online media marketing, web development, web hosting, custom programming, and expertise in implementing various online marketing strategies with total integration, Daniel brings to Mann Communications the ability to handle complex tasks for our clients.

Daniel Diez has extensive experience providing a wide range of online services to a diverse client base, including public and private organizations, political campaigns, national-scale projects and leading development agencies.

Online services provided by Mann Communications under the direction of Daniel Diez helps our clients stay ahead of the pack and on the cutting edge of technology, empowering them to do business faster, better, more efficiently, and most importantly more profitably.

Daniel Diez is both bi-lingual and bi-cultural, allowing Mann Communications to service the English and Spanish speaking markets.

Daniel and his wife Ana currently reside in Beaumont, California with their two sons Alex and Julian

 

Greg Wallis - Account Executive

Greg Wallis started as an intern at Mann Communications in 2011 and quickly rose to the position of Account Executive. Greg is a graduate of California Lutheran University with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Communications. He has gained valuable experience in both land use entitlement and political campaign strategy. Greg comes from a family with an extensive background in the construction industry. Starting at a young age, Greg has worked on both residential and commercial development projects. His political experience includes volunteer and paid positions, including the position of Campaign Manager, on campaigns for city council, State Assembly, Congress and ballot measure races. Greg has become proficient in all areas of public outreach and media relations.

 

Lauren Mann - Account Executive

Lauren Mann is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics. She is a licensed California Real Estate Salesperson, and has worked as a broker for Daum Commercial Real Estate and Coldwell Banker. Her real estate experience includes site search and acquisition, sales and leasing, sale-leaseback, tax deferred (1031) exchanges, leased investments, build-to-suit, landlord and tenant representation, and marketing. In addition, she has worked on numerous political campaigns, including races for city council, water board, State Assembly, and the California gubernatorial recall election of 2003. Through her experiences in both real estate and politics, Lauren has become well versed in local government operations, media relations and public outreach.
